Karen began her technical career as a Programmer for Prodigy in the late 80’s during the evolution of online services and the birth of the internet. She has over 25 years of IT and software development experience. Karen has successfully established the business analysis practice in several organizations, as well as, implemented measurable process and practice improvements for other large organizations. She has worked for several startups in the wireless internet and online community spaces, as well as, hospitality, direct sales and marketing, and has extensive web and ecommerce experience. She has successfully managed projects, teams of developers, business analysts and business expectations. Karen’s experience with Agile frameworks began with iterative, use case driven development and over the past 7 years adopted Scrum, Kanban and most recently Lean Kanban.
Karen is an active member of International Institute for Business Analysts. She has conducted global training in Business Analysis and Agile BA best practices and provides coaching and mentoring to Business Analysts at all levels. Karen has over 20 years of experience in the fields of project management and business analysis and earned her Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Mercy College.
