Breaking Requirements Down Into Core Components
Have you ever looked at notes you took during an elicitation session, and then asked yourself: “Now What?” Have you documented paragraphs of information in your requirements documents, but then wondered “Is there a better way to analyze all this?” or “What are they really telling me?” If you have trouble breaking down complex topics into lower-level components, then this is the workshop for you!
The process of figuring out what key components are included in or impacted by the requirements you’ve elicited is a critical step in business analysis (after asking “why”, of course). This session will help you to simplify requirements so they are easier to “consume.” You will analyze requirements content, identify and expose their details, and gain a better understanding of the parts that make up the whole. This is important, because breaking it down effectively allows you to analyze and discuss different aspects of a topic with your stakeholders, confirm your understanding, and communicate the needs to others in a more logical and thorough manner.
