Our courses are just one step in the journey to mastering business analysis. The classes provide the knowledge and hands-on experience to introduce individuals to the most useful techniques to perform critical thinking and anlaysis. After class, it is both important and necessary to continue individual development by practicing the techniques learned in class on actual projects.
Our training is unique in that it includes after-class mentoring for each student as part of the cost of the training. Additionally B2T Training offers advanced training classes for ongoing education, on-demand webinars, virtual training sessions, the bridge magazine, white papers, books, and many other resources to support the maturity of the business analysis group. For individual development, there are other activities that can improve their BA skills and enhance their value to their organization, such as:
- Finding or becoming a mentor
- Participating in online communities (blogs, forums, groups)
- Attending BA conferences and events (speaker series, IIBA meetings, webinars)
- Reading BA related publications
- Presenting formally and informally
B2T Training offers mentoring and coaching services for organizations that do not have in-house programs.
In his book, Outliers: The Story of Success, author Malcolm Gladwell quotes neurologist Daniel Levitin as follows:
In study after study, of composers, basketball players, fiction writers, ice-skaters, concert pianists, chess players, master criminals, this number comes up again and again. Ten thousand hours is equivalent to roughly three hours a day, or 20 hours a week, of practice over 10 years… No one has yet found a case in which true world-class expertise was accomplished in less time. It seems that it takes the brain this long to assimilate all that it needs to know to achieve true mastery.
