Olya Broadwell has a strong technology background balanced with marketing and entrepreneurial experience. Over the last ten years she has provided training in the areas of business analysis and modeling, and conducted many pre- and post-sales seminars. Her twenty years of industry experience includes actuarial, telecommunications and defense companies, internet product providers and software development companies. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pa. with majors in Computer Systems Management and Finance. She has a unique balance of technology and business experience to share with her students.

Olya’s training style is very engaging and comfortable. Barbara Carkenord, Co-Founder, Chief Curriculum Strategist, of B2T Training, has over 20 years experience in business analysis. Barbara possesses an MBA from University of Michigan and is a Certified Business Analysis Professional Recipient(CBAP®). She began her career in the Information Technology area as a programmer, systems analyst, business analyst, and project manager. Barbara is a frequent speaker at industry conferences, has authored many articles on business analysis and published her first book, Seven Steps to Mastering Business Analysis in 2008. Barbara is also an editor and contributor of the bridge, B2T Training’s business analysis magazine. Actively involved in the IIBA, she is a core team member of the IIBA BABOK® creation committee.

Barbara possesses detailed knowledge and experience in many structured approaches and methodologies. She is the primary writer of B2T Training course materials which bring together proven techniques with real-world experience. Barbara’s areas of expertise include business analysis, high-level design, quality assurance, and project management. Her experience covers many industries including insurance, banking, and manufacturing. She conducts formal and informal training sessions, consistently receiving excellent student evaluations.

Kathy Claycomb brings nearly 20 years of IT experience to the classroom. She has participated in all phases of application development across a wide variety of platforms, and has used numerous methodologies to analyze, design and implement systems. Kathy holds a Bachelor of Science in Business and has worked in transportation, training, and software development organizations.

Kathy’s first love is teaching, and throughout her career she has always managed to spend a portion of her time instructing. She has an engaging, highly interactive teaching style that ensures students leave the course with a thorough grasp of the material. Her students consistently praise her teaching abilities and her talent for drawing on her personal experience to enhance their learning.

Alison (Ali) Ibarguen has 19 years of experience in various areas, including business analysis, project methodology development and training, systems development (mainframe, client-server, and web), and telecommunications management. Alison began her career in the financial services area, and then moved into systems development for accounting systems. In the late 1980s, she worked in Spain with Ernst & Young as a consultant, where she began developing and presenting business analysis and project management training in Spanish. She has provided consulting for small companies to Fortune 500 corporations.

Alison is also a partner of TEMSS (Telecommunications Efficiency Management Strategies and Services), which provides telecommunications efficiency auditing and billing analysis services to clients in all areas of business across the United States. She completed her Master of Business Administration in MIS and Accounting from the University of Georgia.

With over 18 years experience in management consulting and human resources, Fonda Emigh Mangino has worked with Fortune 100 and 500 companies such as Deloitte & Touche, Ernst & Young and Mercer. Her background is primarily in the energy, transportation, and manufacturing industries. There she focused on executing business change, project/program management, business analysis, requirements and design, as well as methodology development and deployment.

Fonda received her Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Fort Hays State University and her Master of Education from Texas Woman’s University. Some of her certifications include ITIL, CPF, and SPHR.

Fonda is passionate about helping people learn techniques and tools that will work for them in their own particular business environment. Her training style is pragmatic, common-sense, and fun; peppered with lessons learned and things to think about when working with systems and business organizations.

With more than 30 years of experience in all phases of systems development, Elaine combines enthusiasm for teaching with product knowledge to captivate her audience.

After receiving a Mathematics degree from the University of Georgia, Elaine began her career as a programmer in a manufacturing company. She quickly advanced to systems analyst, business analyst, project leader and instructor. Her vast industry experience includes software development, insurance, and energy companies, as well as work on government projects. She has worked with Ernst & Young as a consultant and trainer. For the past dozen years Elaine has equipped hundreds of students to handle all facets within a project life cycle.

With teaching certification in SAP, BAAN, Oracle and Siebel, along with teaching experience in data and process modeling and facilitated session leader training, it is easy to see why clients continue to request Elaine for their classroom.

Darshana Patel, PMP is a business analysis, project management, and process consultant with 15 years of experience providing organizations practical improvements for project and process frameworks. In her career, she has been a developer, systems analyst, business analyst, and project manager and has driven numerous projects from idea to implementation. Having visibility into the operations and practices of a diverse client base enables her to identify and leverage industry best practices and create tailored project management and business analysis frameworks that support an organization’s unique culture, environment, and process maturity.

Darshana received her Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Information Systems from the University of Cincinnati and Six Sigma Green Belt certified. In addition, she is a recognized thought leader and requested speaker and author around project and process challenges and solutions.

Angie Perris is Vice President of Client Solutions for B2T Training and has over 25 years of practical experience in software systems development, project management, client relationship management, and business analysis. Angie started her career in the information technology area as a programmer with progressive experience in other roles such as systems analyst, business analyst, project manager, program manager and management consultant. She has detailed knowledge and years of experience in methodologies (waterfall, client-server, object-oriented, LBMS, Information Engineering, Rummler-Brache, JAD, RUP, Six Sigma, PMM) and has been instrumental in assisting organizations obtain Level 2 CMM certification.

Angie’s areas of expertise include business analysis, project management, software and business methodologies, facilitation, applications development, business process reengineering, continuous improvement and CMM. Her experience covers many industries including insurance, banking, aerospace, government, transportation, and telecommunications. Angie earned her BA (education and english) from University of Akron and her MBA with specialization in Computer Science from the Florida Institute of Technology. She is a PMP and has a master’s certificate in project management from George Washington University.

Chuck Ross has extensive experience providing consulting, training, and mentoring in all phases of systems development and structured methodologies. He brings a wealth of hands-on knowledge to the classroom with over 20 years of practice in management, business analysis, systems architecture, programming and testing. His experience includes business, industrial and government projects of all sizes.

Some examples of Chuck’s projects include development of an enterprise business process model, analysis and design of purchasing and accounting applications, and warehouse management and inventory control systems.

Chuck obtained his BA in Mathematics from LeTourneau University in Longview, TX and his MS in Computer Science and Engineering from Auburn University in Auburn, AL. As a trainer, Chuck integrates his real world experiences into the training. Students consistently rate Chuck as excellent in his ability as an instructor.

Jacqueline Sanders has provided training and mentoring throughout her career in the areas of business analysis, database administration, data analysis and process improvement. She earned her Bachelors in Computer Science from Bowling Green State University. Jacqueline possesses over 20 years experience working on projects, using various methodologies and models including agile, RAD, waterfall, object-oriented, UML, work flow automation and CMMI. She has held roles of business analyst, project manager, program manager, tester, DBA, developer and process analyst.

Jacqueline uses her experience in the classroom to help bring to life the work of the business analyst. She is as enthusiastic about learning as she is about teaching and she exhibits an interactive teaching style to ensure students leave the class energized and motivated to implement the lessons learned. Jacqueline is a published author and is currently finishing her second book in a series of books related to Intelligent Process Improvement (IPI).

Pam Swent has 25 years of experience providing training and consulting services in all phases of systems development methodologies. Pam began her career as an instructor in a computer school and then moved into a 15-year programming career at a prominent financial institution in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Here she developed systems methodologies, trained end-users, facilitated Joint Application Development sessions and served as an internal corporate consultant on a wide variety of MIS issues. In addition, Pam wrote numerous articles and has spoken at national process modeling conferences.

In 1998, she joined Deliotte and Touche Consulting. Two years later, she formed Swent Consulting LLC which provides system development consulting and project management services to clients in the financial services sector. Today she splits her time between her consulting business and B2T Training. This allows Pam to balance the challenges of consulting with the training work she enjoys so much.
