Good article. It also helps you develop better communication skills in life itself.

Just like in school when you are taught to jot down all the points you want to write for an essay, when I have multiple ideas and need to type it down I prefer to jot down all the points I want to address and then began to add flesh into it.

Before sending it off I make sure I re-read it. Because what may mean one thing to me, may not mean the same for the reader.

In general people appreciate the quality much more than quantity. By not enagaging in many email discussions you give yourself more weight when you do contribute.

My weakness is Outlook appointments. If you are in one of my metings and get less than 3 updates consider yourself lucky.

_________

PS I am plugging a new website for business analysts. It's here: http://businessanalyst.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page

Click over and contribute an article!

One thing I do every now and then is forget to add an attachment that I reference in my email. One of the recipients has to email me back letting me know I forgot it. One way I have tried to overcome this is adding the attachments before I begin typing the email.
